TRAVELLERS ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE ON CHEAP TRAVEL FLIGHTS DUE TO CORONA VIRUS.

As per Now the ministry of health has still confirms there is no case of coronavirus in Uganda. However due to the first spread of the disease, guidelines have been set up to keep not only Ugandans but the whole nation safe.
According to the WHO, the number of cases of COVID-19 outside China has increased 13-fold, and the number of affected countries has tripled.
There are now more than 118,000 cases in 114 countries and 4,291 people have lost their lives. Thousands more are fighting for their lives in hospitals.

Increasing numbers of travelers and tourists are opting to stay home amid fear of exposure to the new Novel coronavirus in uganda, which has spread to over 110 countries since late December.  This has led to the death of more than 4,000 lives and infecting more than 115,000 people globally.
Coronavirus was first detected in China’s Wuhan and has no vaccine yet, has prompted worries the world over, with governments like Itary closing borders with affected countries and barring entry to or subjecting travelers from outbreak areas to lengthy quarantines.

The rapid spread of COVID-19 around the globe has thrown the international travel industry into chaos.
We all love to travel and to be clear some of us survive only if the others travel and us as well. The WHO has come out to rule the coronavirus an epidemic for the whole world.

Persons coming from the above countries to Uganda for a self-drive safari, visits or business may go under an official quarantine, self-quarantine or normal screening g depending on how the health officials see you.
Governments have also put out their own travel warnings. But this varies from country to country.

If you do go ahead with your travel plans, given the cheap flights. The WHO has a range of recommendations to reduce the risk of infection.

• washing hands frequently
• covering nose and mouth when coughing
• Avoiding close contact with people showing symptoms.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment(masks)

In case of illness while traveling, such as fever, coughing or breathing difficulties, Get to the nearest local health centers.
Carrying a hand sanitizer on you all the time and keeping distance from the people that are not with you would be a great idea.
