The Future of Travels on self drive safaris

How will the future of travels industry on a self drive safari will change after the pandemic?.
By every measure, the coronavirus pandemic has changed the travel industry. Whether we want it or not self drive travel is completely changed and for the better this time.
With Approximately 100 million travel sector jobs, according to world health organization, have been eliminated or will be. Many travel sectors and travelers will soon embrace self drive safaris when all returns to normal.
Slowly slowly countries and some regions in countries are opening up. Some just easing the lock down, this will undoubtedly change how we think, act and travel, at least in the short term.
What we know for a fact that the pandemic will soon fade away slowly but its effects will stay somehow longer and most probably some will stay forever. Meaning guided safaris in the travel industry will be limited as well as people fear each other.
Yet the desire to travel will not go away: According to the director at Gorilla walking safaris Uganda. “we have been slowly and keenly following up on travel research and it shows people are much more willing to travel than ever before” this is mostly because of too much staying in one place as well as the personal urge to adventure .
Most travel agencies believe that due to the fear of Covid-19 and it being a global pandemic, they believe that travel with a self drive safari is a much safer option. And here and here are some of the reasons why.

General cleanliness of travels:

In this covid-19 situation we have learnt a lot about cleanliness, we need to sanitize wash our hands and keep a distance. On travel the only way to keep social distance is with acre rental on either budget or luxury car rental. Here you drive on a trip by yourself or with only family members. Knowing that it’s only the two or three you can maintain personal hygiene and general cleanness that can be very hard on group tours.

Fear of contracting covid-19 on travels:

Scientists have not yet given us a clear view on whether someone can contract the covid-19 twice. This fear of contracting and also spreading the covid-19 virus is forcing us the travelers to get options that are safe. This fear will have to push the self drive safari because you are alone.

Self-drive is cheap:

The cheapest option you can get on car rental travel around the world. Renting a car on travel is from 50-200 dollars a day  to car rental with a driver guide at 100-300 a day. Self drive safaris not only in Uganda but also the whole world are better.

It’s a much safer option

Yes it’s a much better and safer option in all ways. You control the travel, speed, people, hygiene and all the exposure.

What’s the Future of Travels?

It takes only a safari to create a trend in travel, what about covid-19 pandemic that has over stayed its welcome.
The last 10 years has given rise to hundreds of amazing travel blogs, with the authors documenting their travels so that people can find inspiration for their travel. These inspirations will be modified if we must travel again.
Think about traveling on a crowded airplane, dirty toilets, dirty car rental, crowded lodges or touristy places all this is a no go zone. If hotels need it work now, hmmm a complete change at fewer prices perhaps.
The real exciting question here is what will that trip be like 100 years from now? Will it be reduced to minutes travel? Or will technology have evolved to a level of complexity that we can’t even explain.
Airlines speed and car rentals will also give us a new trend. Either way we will travel and keep the food for the eyes alive as well.
See you tomorrow in Uganda on your car rental with a self drive safari.
